Any machete wizards out there?

Spent hours trying to figure out what machete this is... I think it may be a collins? cant find any with 4 rivets and the lanyard hole on the hilt. im thinking there was probably a sticker on the blade indicating the maker. any help with identification would be appreciated. thank you for your time

Some knocked out the bottom rivet to make a lanyard hole.

that is very close but the lanyard hole is more square to the hilt and doesn't have that downward sweep to it. it does look like the rivet was removed though and someone reamed it.

that one got me excited but no it isn't it. the rivet pattern is different and the one removed is closer to the edge of the hilt.

I'm unsure of the specific manufacturer, and it's likely almost impossible to establish who it was, but the machete resembles the "Corvo" type cropped-tip 152 from Imacasa, which is a traditional pattern also made by many many many companies.

I don't know the brand, but I have only seen this exact handle shape & rivet placement on machetes made in Japan.

looks like you are right. lots of the Japanese machetes look similar. thanks!
