What knives in the Buck line are not made in China if any?

I guess my question should be....
What Buck models are made here in the US?

If I recall correctly, about 20% of the models are made in China. The Buck website (buckknives.com) provides info on each model. I'm sure someone will be along to provide more detailed info.

Made in China:

730, 731,732 and 735 X-Tract
371 Stockman
372 Muskrat
373 Trio
375 Deuce
379 Solo
384 Trapper
385 Toothpick
389 Canoe
325 and 326 Colleague and Scholar
327 series Nobleman
870 Bones
750 Redpoint
460 Gamut
220, 221 223 and 225 Silver Creek fishing knives

There's also the Utility shears, camp axe and folding saw.

The above are all the knives in the 2010 catalog that are imports.

I wonder what models Buck plans to make in the USA down the road.If I remember correctly some of the imports are coming home to be made in the USA.As we have seen here on the forum even guys in China want a USA made Buck knife. The made in China 300s at Wally world cost about the same as their USA made counterparts at many online knife stores.

A number of the products curently made in China will remain there and allowed to live out their natural life cycle and die a semi-dignified death. That's not to say all of them will; just not sure yet which models. Our focus last year has been and will continue to be developing the majority of products with the intent that they will be made domestically. We will likely always have some level of imported products to fill certain "gaps" in the marketplace, but our direction is definately to increase the number/volume of domestic products.

Thanks Mr Keys as always-If you are willing to accept some feedback, please consider 37*-38* series dymondwood slippies to come home.

I'll second that motion. I'd love to have some USA made stockmen with the brown "wood" scales. I'd more than likely buy at least a couple of each.

Thanks for the heads up Mr Keys. The marketplace does decide the direction of a company. The average knife buyer more than likely doesn't realize what a bargain he's getting when he buys a USA BUCK knife. If they did there wouldn't be an unsold 110 to be found anywhere on the planet.

To answer your first question, "The bulk of Buck knives are NOT made in China."

To answer your second question. I'd guess about 80% of Buck knives are made in the USA. If you go to the Buck web site and look at a picture of a specific knife, you will see an American flag in the corner if it is US-made.

10-4!!!!! I couldn't have said it better. There are so many knives not made
here, that when people see them, at least people I know, just assume that
Buck knives are made over seas too. I am so Proud of my 2 110's!!! I love
looking at the quality, and seeing Made in USA on them. I actually feel a little
guilty at paying so little for them. It makes me feel like I should just go buy
another!!!:D:D:D:D.....and then I do!
