Any makers in the ATL area (like a 2hr radius from the AP) need some shop help?

Not sure if this is the appropriate board...


I'm an after-work tinkerer who pretty much relies on trial and error/youtube to learn to make knives. I would be willing to work for free on the weekends or after work for free to learn some tricks of the trade. Not really looking for anything too formal, just seeing if I can trade some labor for some knowledge.

With Covid it may be a little hard getting someone to have a stranger come over

It's funny, but sad at the same time. I was at the hardware store the other week and I was the only one who had on a mask. The cashier said "Don't worry, we've all had it already!". I don't think she was talking about the vaccine. Same story at the body shop. I think last week we were #1 in the US for new infections per capita, but that does not stop anybody from having a good time.

kinda the same around here. I had 2 people I work really close with get it and I never caught it either time. One of them has bad pre-existing lung issues and he got over it. Said it sucked and he was in the hospital. Then he got the vaccine shot and it made him sicker then a dog. What’s funny is I’m currently laid up on the couch sick but not with Covid, I somehow caught the rare flue/cold.

Thank you, I’m just about over it all, I bet by morning I will be 100%. But work now has a policy that I have to be 100% symptom free for 24hrs before I can go back to work.
 
JT - maybe you got covid, but showed no symptoms at all? Funny you got the flu ... apparently with all the masking and social distancing (supposedly ) going on, rates of flu are way down this year...
