I have a jumbo versipack that is a shoulder sling bag but have been looking for a solid fanny pack for edc. My question is would a Glock 42 fit in the rearmost compartment closest to the body. Having to put the gun in the main compartment would be a deal breaker. Any other suggestions for good edc fanny packs of similar size and storage?

Thanks!
Caleb

I have an Octa. The back pocket will comfortably hold a S&W j-frame 637 with 2.5" barrel and aftermarket walnut grips, but not much more. Don't know about the Glock 42, don't own one.

The Octa is a decent pack but is a little on the small side. Depends on what you need of course. The Proteus is noticeably larger, but no back pocket. Not too many have that as far as I know. I also use a Mountainsmith Drift which I really like, but again, no back pocket. Hope this helps.
