Are there any of you blade forums members in Missouri? If so, what parts? And is there any cool knife shops i should check out in missouri?

Why is this in General Knife? Please consider the community forums for a question like this.

Hey, spongebobby,

I'm in the metro St. Louis area and closest store I know of is Grand Prairie Knives in Troy, Il., which says it is 20 minutes from the city.

I've only dealt with them by phone but they seem like good folks and the store seems well-stocked.

I'm in Southwest MO. There is a knife shop in Joplin, I don't know the name of it though. The Bass Pro shop in Springfield has a good selection. In the St. Louis area there is Bass Pro Shop "Outdoor World" in St. Charles, Uncle Sam's Military Surplus off Watson rd. (one of my favorite gear places). Uncle Sam's also has locations off Manchester Rd., and in St. Peters. There are also Bass Pro Shops in Independence, Columbia, and Branson.

I'm from Washington, Mo

And as Flash mentioned, the only nearby knife shop I'm aware of is Grand Prairie in Troy, Illinois. It's worth taking the trip over there though as they've got a pretty good selection, and are good folks to deal with.

I forgot about them! Never been there, but would love to check out their store!

There's quite a few people here from MO, including at least a handful of knife makers that frequent the forum. I'm sure there are plenty more that I'm not aware of because they don't list their location. Grand Prairie is worth the trip to be able to see a variety of different brands in person. Unfortunately for me, their hours are similar to my work schedule so I don't have the chance to head over there unless I get off early enough to get through the bridge traffic. If you're interested in Case knives, there are also the Shepherd Hills stores in the other direction. The one in Lebanon is right off of I-44.

Kansas City resident here.

There's a couple places to find a knife (Bass Pro, Cabella's, Wal-mart) if you are looking for regular production. More interesting stuff is harder to find. The Outlaw North cigar store has a great selection of higher end stuff, including Pro-Tech, Microtech and Benchmade autos, as well as Chris Reeve's stuff and some William Henry's and plenty of Kershaw/Spyderco/Cold Steel/CRKT.

Hello from Branson. There is a cool shop at Branson Landing, it's called " A cut above" or something. Good selection, okay prices.
