ANY MOBILE SHARPENERS OUT THERE??? DUST COLL/GENERATERS

I'm going from an Aerostar to a big step van and need help on dust collection and power sources. I think I have the dust collection solved-top mounted, super efficiant squirrel cage venting straight outside with either pvc or metal piping inside. For a mobile power source I'm thinking of going from my 3000 watt inverter and twin deep cell marine batteries to a gas powered Onan type generater. The new equipment I'm running is basically a Wilton Sguare wheel(1 horse),Foley Belsaw 390 serrater (1/4 horse) and a homemade buffer (3/4 horse)
Any preferences to either an inverter vs generater? My current inverter/battery set-up won't fire up the 1 horse Wilton motor.
Any help from you guys would sure be apperciated. THANKS Dave

I suggest for dust collection you use a large shop vac type unit. That way you aren't expelling nasty grindidng dust all over your van, and into the air around your customer's property. Helps with PR, as well as with health concerns.

As for the generator, what you should do is add up the total watts of ALL of your motors, then double that number for the watt output of the generator you'll need. I'd still keep the battery/inverter affair on board as well, for back up, and for anything else you may add in the future. The high watt generator will also insure that you can add some things in the future, and still have the reserve capacity that you need. I do suggest an Onan RV generator. Can't beat their reliability IMHO.
