Any Mora Companion fakes out there?

Hi forum. I just received a Mora Companion, stainless, black on black from Amazon. The logo looks a little different from the ones I've seen online. Mine has Morakniv, with the "v" elongated on the right side, as opposed to "Morakniv" spelled out fully, followed by the elongated triangle. Just wondering, do they use different logos? I know there are fake rat2's out there, and maybe I'm a bit paranoid. Doesn't seem worth faking a 16 dollar knife, but who knows. tk

If the Chinese think they can make $ off something, they'll make a fake and try to pass it off as the real thing. Might help if you post a pic of your knife.

Without seeing it it’s hard to be sure, but that sounds right, actually. I went to the Morakniv website and the logo there looks like what you describe: an elongated v on the right side.

I know Garbergs have been faked, not sure about the Companion.

Welcome to BF!

Look very carefully at the font used in the stamp and the positioning of all the letters. Fakers sometimes don't get the details exact. Or the quality of the stamp is not as good.

That is what mine looks like. Fonts and spacing look fine. Wonder why some have a triangle after the logo? Thanks for the pic
