No info on the specific walkie talkie you mention, however I do have the T6620. It is advertised to have a mile range, but it doesn't. It is about 1/3 mile. The 1/3 mile was achieved from my car, home to my wife who was inside. I live in a small town of about 20,000 people. Paved streets, telephone poles, houses every 100 to 200 feet on both sides of the road.
Clarity is good. Size is great. They are light weight. I have a programmable option where I can turn off the beep of an incoming call and turn on a vibration. This is handy where you don't want people near you to realize you have a radio.
I haven't had good luck with rechargeables in general, and bought the 3 penlight batteries one.
I have and recommend the $25 ear buds/lapel mike accessory.
Even though my range is not up to advertised I probably would keep the walkie talkies even if given a chance to receive my money back.
However if range is inportant for you SAK you probably should look into the longer range ones. They require a license. However it may just be a formality. You may have to pass a test. I don't know.
Hope this helps.
