Any MS AND AD Owners?

I've been looking at a AD for EDC. Then while looking at the Busse site at the AD specs I pull out my user MS and notice both have a 3 1/2" blade. The MS is 1/4" INFI, the AD a bit thinner. For you guys that have both, is there any advantage that the AD may have over my MS? About half the coating is gone (really is a user) and the handles are worn and getting lacquered up and it rattles around in the sheath, but nothing a quick trip to the shop wouldn't fix along with a new sheath. A little bead blast to put some 'sticky' back in the grips, a trip through the new sharpening machine (maybe with BB's seal of approval) and some leather to eliminate that clackety clack when I walk and I'm even better to go. It's good to go as is, I'm wearing it.

Question is, does the AD feel different in the hand? This is compared to the MS of course. I'd like to know, of course it doesn't take much convincing to make me buy a new Busse, but I'd like to hear from those who have both.

i think they are both awesome edc's, i'm very fond of MS's because they have a little more meat on the blade and the old handle style is cool.

but, like you, i don't need any encouragement to buy a new busse. with the different combinations on the new site we should see some cool and not so cool combinations come out of the brewery.

I think I missed the MS bandwagon by a couple years. I've only ever handled two or three and they were nice knives, but catching them well after their production life cycle put me at a disadvantage.
 
i have never held that against you my furry friend. as long as you don't bring out the "skunk slayer" we'll be ko.

by the way was it you ar me who was going to biuy the first round at blade?? :confused:
 
My wife got me a Mean Street for her wedding gift to me...I carry it SOB with a Kydex IWB. It's GREAT! I have had the pleasure to 'feel-up' many other Busses and I feel the MS is the BEST for EDC (concealed that is!) :cool:
 
Having owned a MS in the past, and an AD now, personally, I prefer the AD only because of the handle. The pattern ground into the nukarta and the ergonomics just work a bit better for me.

Get one of the hogs to send you one of their many spare ADs for short time to try it out.

Or, buy one, and if you don't like it, I'm sure it'll sell quickly here. Those hogs don't like having orphan INFI out there. ;)

I'm going to buy the women their first round again, you can buy the first round for all the guys ;)
