Any must have apps for iPhone 7 plus?

Upgraded from my iPhone 4. I wouldn't have except it started to crash a lot and battery life was nil. Since I only get a new phone every 5 years or so I went with the newest version of what I was familiar with.

Any apps that are must have? I put on a flashlight, tapatalk and a number of others but don't really know what I don't know. I'm looking for free apps although if there is one that is a "must have" to buy I might.

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and you will pull up a menu with flashlight on it. Download waze for directions and trip times.

Thanks. I'd take any tips too. They don't even bother including an owner's manual any more. I guess I'm just supposed to know this stuff! (I guess that you can download a pdf of an owner's manual if you want to)

I find DISTANCE - FIND MY DISTANCE to be extremely useful. It opens to either a map or satellite image. Trace your finger along your route, whether a twisting road or squiggly river, and the app displays the distance. It's surprisingly accurate.
