It looks like its gonna be hard to get updates on this knife now, and I am just wondering if anyone from LS had any new info at all.I am waiting on a production version.I know Gianni said they were leaving Italy Friday, but I just wanna know for sure
 
Yes very hard to get info now. I'm waiting on an LE sterile and had tracking information but nothing now, no emails, and no knife. I even checked Ryp's site and not much going on regarding updates. I guess I should email DPX gear and see if that works....
 
I emailed DPX this morning and haven't heard back from them. I am sure they are buried in emails.

I am sure you will hear from DPX when the knives are ready.

Sending them an email is a good idea, they have been responsive.

All of the political crap here notwithstanding, I really like the knife.

This is the first knife I have had that opens with the interference on the pocket, and that is a pretty neat feature that I did not think I would like.

It is a high quality knife that is well made and very functional.

Hang in there, I am sure you will get your knives after Lionsteel does whatever they need to do with them.

I am keeping mine just as it was delivered, as the small "exposed" tip has absolutely no bearing on the safety or usability of the knife, nor does the mis-print, and nor does the proximity of the closed blade edge to the handle-spine.

Good luck and I hope all of you all will post your impressions of the KNIFE here.

Just emailed Dpx regarding the production model, anyone know if the knife shipped out or not? :confused:

I think the knife had great potential fOr sure mqqn. I think the production model will be decent.
Personally I'd love lionsteel to take it, refine it, remove the bottle opener and send it out to market.

Just to followup on the email sent to you by RYP, the HEST Folders were shipped from Italy on Friday so the Dealers should have their orders about the beginning of next week. We will be shipping to Dealers asap upon receipt. The production HEST Folders are only available from Dealers.

thanks for posting. hopefully those wernt the ones that lion said they called back the order on after shipping. wish it was easier to get info.:(

Anyone know whats happening with the LE's. I guess its on a return trip to Italy for a tune up but I havent heard anything yet.
 
I confirm that I sent the first production knives to US last Friday.
At the end of this week I will to send another delivery, standard production.
LE knives are in this moment in Italian border, as soon as I have them I will fix them. I hope that I will be able to send back them to US this friday togheter with the standard version.

PS: RYP and LionSteel are doing all the best to fix all the problems of the first 100 pieces. We are sure that all this situation will let us to produce better knives. We apologize to everybody for this situation but we guarantee that we are taking care to everyone.

Another standard production shipment is flying to US.
Tomorrow all the LE.
