Hello, everyone and Happy New Year!!! Does anyone have any New Year's Resolutions that involve using your knives? In general and with our JKs? I for one am going to try and use more of them and practice my skills, besides cutting paper and opening boxes, maybe get more use when we go camping or glamping. Another idea was to finally reduce the herd, not my JKs of course, but maybe sell or trade so they get to someone who may use them, or just increase my available funds to get more......but not as quickly. :D

I’m going to try to make 2019 better than 2018. 2018 was the worst year for sales since I started over 10 years ago.

Keep them coming. I would love to hear about adventures in the outdoors, camping, beach, or any neat places you discover, maybe hidden small towns and historical spots....I mean, who actually has time to read those historical makers along the side of the road when you zip by in a car? Well, let's read them!!!

John, for 2019 I suggest you increase your outdoor time, when the snow melts, and increase time with your family, friends, BBQ and beer. Discover more secret little towns and areas where you can recharge your batteries. When you get caught up a little on orders, I would close the books on new orders for awhile, just for a little bit, and maybe consider just doing a few knives at a time and put them up for sale. That way you get to try and experiment with designs, special runs, and maybe not have to have so much overhead in materials. Just give it a thought, just my two cents.

For 2019 I’m going to try and enjoy the knives I have and spend less time looking for new ones. The exception being the Michigan Trail Knife that will be coming in March. Super excited about that one.

Grateful Grateful , I agree. I should also enjoy and use the knives I have rather than looking for new ones. And I really like your avatar of a Jimmy Stewart. What movie is that from?

In JS speak, "Well, ya ....ya ....see, it.... it ..is a classic...a good movie, don't ya know?" You have to use your imagination with this one. :D

No specific resolutions per se, but I put this out to my family.
What one thing can I do better this year and
What one way can I be a better person this year.

A fairly tall order, but if I manage 1/10 of this I think I'm doing OK.

greatscoot greatscoot , I like those questions you asked, I think another good question to ask is what can make my life happier this year? Do not mean money wise, but discovering things we may take for granted, or doing things we have wanted to do but have been placed in the back burner?
