Any news on Fisk collaboration???

I wish I had more news for you, but all I can say is that we are working, with Jerry's help I may add, like crazy on it. We have had some some changes in the guard of the knife, mainly to aid in production of the knife. This will change the way the guard is made, and the way it looks, that is the reason I haven't released any pics yet. Assuming it is made the way that Jerry and I plan, it will look even better than the proto you say at the BLADESHOW. It will be made in the style that Jerry uses for his custom knives. This is going to be one VERY kewl knife.

Believe me, the instant I have a pic I can release, I will have it up on this forum.

Will, I know you'll get pics up as soon as you can, but from the first day I heard you were doing a collaboration with Jerry Fisk I ordered mine. This is going to be a great knife. :)
 
I got to actually handle the proto at the Blade Show and all I can say is if the revised version is going to be better than that one, this piece is going to be Outstanding. :cool:

But a picture SOON would be nice. ;)
 
Hmmm. Fisk collaboration? Sounds intriguing. Even without pix.

What kind of knife is this intended to be? I'm guessing fixed blade? Hunter? Skinner? Bowie? Materials? (Are they still in flux?)

I know the design isn't set yet, but surely, you could give us just a couple of details to drool over, eh, Will?

Would someone please explain this collaboration before I get so frustrated I start pulling all the hair off my ears! ;)

Is this another Becker line? That would be nice. I would love to see a bowie.....anyway, please inform:

Will must still be out of town so I will say as best as I can.
The project is doing fine. It will go under the OVB [Our Very Best}line, they, Camillus, had years ago. This will be the first piece of the line out. It will be satin finished with their special steel they use in the Beckers. It is an outstanding performance steel. We have been having a few changes so that is looks more like my custom pieces. Instead of a scrupled guard it will be a flat guard with ferrule. This is even nicer. So far I am extremely pleased with the results. I am also impressed with how well they are holding the line on it. Handles will be curly maple. This will be a really nice piece. Hope this helps some. Sorry for the bad spelling. I was sick the day we had spelling in grammer school.

Jerry, if you and Will are pleased with it there's not a doubt in my mind I'm going to love it. I can't wait. ;)
