For some time, I have been hearing rumors about Chris Reeve and the gang making some of their hollow handled knives out of CPM3V. I would be very interested in these, as I'm sure many people would be. Is there any truth to the rumors and any possible progress?

Hmmm, 63 people have looked at this thread and NOBODY knows anything?

Try calling / emailing CRK and ask to be put on "the know" list for when they will release some more info. The last I heard, the soonest they will be producing any 3V fixies is June/July.

Ok, I'll be 64-th and still I have no idea :) Sorry :(
Last time I've asked CRK, the answer was they they were seriously evaluating it.
As a potential problem stated here, was the fact that CPM3V stock isn't large enough to machine 1 piece knives from it.

The people at Crucible seem to be most accomodating and would probably make up a special run in the sizes and thickness needed for these knives. I have a Project II and love it, but cant help but dream about how awesome it would be in CPM3V.

Hi all. As viewer #144, just checking back hoping for good news.

3V @ Rc60-61? I'd buy a Project I.

I'll check back later...

I'd buy the entire 1 piece line minus tantos, but so far there's no word form CRK. Though if they upgrded Sebenza steel there's hope 1 piece line won't be forgotten :)

Ok, the original post was January 11th, and over 300 people have viewed this. How come no word from the Reeve shop? Do they not read this forum?

Based on the phone calls I have made, I think that it is too early (for even them) to know what will be feasible. I think S30V presents some machining challenges that need to be worked out. I wouldn't look for anything until late summer...but that's just my feeling...
