I'll be there for a week next week and I want to try to see some nature. Any good places to go?

If you were coming to Jacksonville we could go on a really nice hike. I love Yosemite, used to live an hour away

Personally, I would hike myself right into the Randall Made Knife shop and check out their world class knife musuem! :D

Wekiwa Springs also has some pretty good canoeing and swimming. But real busy on the weekend unless you take a hike. Last time I was there we saw something like 3 dozen deer the second morning... pine scrub, cypress, its a cool place. Its a pretty good cross-section of the area's microclimates so be ready, some parts of the trails could possibly be underwater enough to get you blaze hopping. Its been a dry year though, so the chance is slim.

Some of the Spring recreation areas in Ocala National Forest have some great day hikes and paddles as well; definetely worth checking out if you don't mind the hour drive. If you go, and especially if you have kids, Silver Springs is a great little place in the area as well.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll pick a hike when I get there but I will definately check out the Randall Knife museum.
