Any of these small enough for pocket carry? Adamas, Contego, Bedlam, ZT 0200...

I know they are big and I want big but not TOO big! I'm thinking pants pocket. The Adamas comes with a pouch and, of course, has that big handle (D2), the Contego might be small enough but the M4 blade scares me a bit (rust), the Bedlam
has limited use but looks cool to me (154, of course it's big and heavy, too), and the ZT 0200 (154, weighs in at almost half a pound!) and supposedly eats pant pockets. (No S30V among them.)

Perhaps I should stay EDC and get a Para II --- cheaper, too.

Thanks!!!

P.S. Most of what I have is 6oz and less and 3.5 inches or less. I'm a lefty.

I've been carrying the Adamas, I find the weight comforting. It's not too heavy for me, about the weight of an Iphone. Been looking at getting a Contego, but that jimping is pretty aggressive without gloves.

The 0200 is pretty big in the pocket. If carried in a jeans front pocket, then it dosent leave much room for sticking your hand in there and rummaging around.

My rule is 8 oz. anything over that and I need Jeans and a good belt. All of your choices are under 8oz. Now whether or not they are too blocky or thick is based on pocket shape, how skinny you are...etc. I read the 810 carries pretty good for a big knife. As far as the M4 ....don't let it scare you. I have n uncoated Military and as long as I wipe it down when I am done it will not even develop a patina.

I have three of the four (no Bedlam) and always carry in my right front pocket, wearing usually jeans or khaki/cargo shorts. Most of the time I forget they are there.

Get a military! 4 inch blade, 4.2 ounces, tired and true design and ergos. It comes in a left handed version as well.

None of them are as big as my phone, so I don't even notice. Go Sog Vulcan .16 VG-10, 0550 1.56 S35v or 0350 S30v. The Vulcan and the 0350 can be had for around $100.

I have carried this big CRKT with 4" blade and aluminum scales. I don't know what its weight is. I've considered a ZT 0200 but I would rather have the 0560. I think the Adamas would be a similar size. The Bedlam seems to have a little bit longer handle which might be a problem in some jeans pockets.

This Barrage is my preferred limit for EDC:

Being a lefty also I look for knives that are south paw friendly (even though I have used right hand specific models at one time or another). I recently bought a BM 275 Adamas and it is a brute! Especially compared to a 710. I like the looks and style of the Contego but don't have one. I do have a couple of blades in M4 and don't worry about rust as long as I wipe it clean. So far so good. I am a fairly good sized person and don't find the Adamas too big for daily carry in jeans. Dress slacks are another matter. I can carry a 710 or a 520 (close in weight to the 810) no problem in slacks.
I am a fan of the BM Axis lock because it is so lefty friendly.

The Adamas, Contego, and ZT0200 all have a rotation turn in my pocket. This is the size knife I love to carry! I have modified their existing pocket clips to be low-riders, and put the entire knife inside my pocket. I know that the Adamas/Contego already come with a foldover clip, but it wasn't enough for me, hence the modification to my liking!

I like to carry my large knives in my right rear pocket. The ZT0200 is a little thick back there and you definitely don't forget it is there. I prefer my ZT0560, ZT0350 or PM2 for larger back pocket carry.

Considering the ZT 0560. One internet store sold 50 today! Even the Kershaw copy is selling. (Still, the store employees swear by Reeve folders.) One You Tube review said lefties could probably open it more easily than righties. Whatever.

I like the looks of the CQC 13 by Emerson. It's an aggressive looking knife - a bowie I think. But he seems a bit expensive and the G10 might ruin my pants from what I hear (hey, nothing's perfect :) ).

The ZT 200 is nice - I bet it could last a very long time and permanently shorten my left stride. Contego --- it's moving up my want list. A 940 on steroids? M4 at 64 rockwell! Some say the adamas is one of the best Benchmade's ever designed. D2, but I'm sure it's been properly heat treated and such (sub-quenched?) for the Rangers. The Bedlam --- well it looks tough/cool and Jordanian security forces use it.

The paramilitary or military are lightweight and I might need to get one.

Is it true that the paramilitary is not well suited to lefties (opening and closing?)? Two guys at an internet store told me so (Spyderco denied it) --- something to do with the lock. I find that a bit hard to swallow. If so, why not a lefty paramilitary --- it's probably the number one seller (in dollars) in the U.S.

Too many nice knives!

I carry the auto bedlam on occasion and I find it plenty small enough to fit in jeans, I don't even notice. I find my zt 0200 a tad large to carry in jeans, but that doesn't make me not love it

Don't have the Contego , but have the 0200 , Bedlam and Adamas and they are perfect for pocket carry
