Any of you guys make much use of those foam-like nylon grinding/buffing wheels?

I like watching makers in less developed countries and they seem to use them a lot, and to good effect. I have a small 6" and its a pleasure to use on spines and softening corners. Looking for a 10" with a courser grit. Never heard anyone else bring them up.
