Any one collect and NOT carry?

Just wondering.
Where I work, I cannot carry a knife, but it doesn't really bother me any.
I mostly collect small pocketknives and can't carry them anyway if I want to keep them mint.
Any one else have knives that you consider too nice to carry, let alone use?

JIM,

Where do you work that won't allow a pocket knife?

I have a few knives that were "collected" and I have users. Many of my knives were not collected, but accumulated!

Those carry rules only apply if they catch you. You know, better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission...

Great question- I think theres two schools of thought. Yours, and those who must carry a knife. I tend to be like you. I don't have a big collection yet, I do carry a knife every day but its not that I have to have a knife with me at all times. I just love knives. I carry a SAK because its handy and I use it alot, I don't even consider it a part of my collection. I even make knives and rarly carry one of my own. I'm in no way ashamed of the knives I make, they are in my collection. I do always have one of my makes somewhere close to show people but I carry a SAK. Call me a hipacrit(spell check). I truly like knives more for their beauty than for their usefullness.

Ahh, I understand now, mental health sales. I guess sharp things around people who don't have it all quite organized could be a problem. Before I read that I was going to tell you to quit your job. YOu do crry knives when your not working though right?

Just for fun though, next time your at the store, go to the sporting goods section and start looking at rifles, handguns, knives and stuff. Then suddenly pause with knife/gun in hand, take a look at it then ask " which aisle are the anti depressants in?"

not me, i only carry one knife though, anymore than that seem useless unless for show.....or you work in an environement that needs variety or are out in the wilderness.go ahead and flame me now....
