any one got any advice on a good online mutual fund??

I am using Janus..but it there someone online where you can open an account with say a thousand dollars??? Janus requires $2500 and that much scratch is already going to bigger and better funds...

???

I find that Vanguard has very low comparable fees associated with most of their fund products. I would recommend taking a look at them.
 
Try Vanguard Growth and Income, probably would be a nice balance to your Janus fund.

Just checked the funds in my IRAs and it seems both of my primary investments have minimum investments of $1000 and both did well last year.

Avoid managed funds.

Try something like Vanguard Total Market Index Fund, or just buy yourself SPiders, Qubes, etc.

I am going to say that this line of thought has many supporters, I think that it's a horrible strategy.

go here, and enter ( for the funds) prwcx (TRP's Capital appreciation), and vitbx (vanguard's total market index) for one year, and tell me to avoid managed funds,
