Just what the title says. Any one have one and love it or hate it? I sold off all my polymer stuff, but I was thinking of giving one of these a try.

I don't own one, but I've fired the 9mm sub-compact and the .40 tactical at the range. Surprisingly, I found the 9mm sub more controllable and more accurate than the .40. The .40 just had a bit too much muzzle flip for me to like it. Overall, they seem to be well built and ergonomic. The ambidextrous magazine release is a nice touch.

The main issue I ever hear about them is that the finish tends to wear a little faster than the finish on Glocks, Walthers, etc..Sending it to Tripps Research will cure that though.

A friend of mine has the 5 inch (tactical) in 9mm and the 4 inch (duty) in .40, I have fired both. The 4 inch in .40 was pretty much just like my Glock23 and had the same felt recoil and shot just like it. The 5inch in 9mm was a joy to shoot, first time I picked it up and ran through the 15rnd magazine, I ended up with a 4 or 5 inch group at 15-20 yards, the recoil is minimal and smooth, so you get back on target quickly. He probably has just under 500 rounds through each of them and has never had any problems. It's a great pistol for the money, I say go for it.

I own the .40 in the duty style 4" barrel.

It is a great sidearm.

Not much ammo through it yet, so my experience firing it is limited.

I agree; go for it.

I have the "Tactical" 5" barreled .40S&W model. Unfortunately I've only had time to get it out twice, so can't speak too much about reliability. It's very comfortable to hold, and points naturally. The grip shape is more natural to me than the Glock style, though I'll probably have a Glock 17 someday anyway.

I do still find the recoil kind of snappy, but it's the first .40 I've shot (and still the only one), so I'm sure I'll get used to it. The finish on the slide is definetly not as tough as a Glock ... I had scratches on mine before I even shot it once, just from wiping it down with a silicone cloth. That's not a major concern for me, though - just makes me more willing to use it hard, like it should be used.

I like the metal magazines and sights over the Glock's plastic ones. The sights are also affixed with the same dovetail as Sig pistols, so they're interchangeable with any aftermarket Sig sights.

Bottom line, it was a steal for the price they're going for.

Thanks for the info guys. In handling one at the range, I did notice that it sat in my hand much better than the Glocks. I do not fret much about the finish on my pistols so I can over look any wear, beside that can be fixed with refinishing like some have said. I have heard that the 4" .40 can be a little flippy, but I am surprised that the 5" model is too. I had a sig 229 in 40 and I didn't like it at all, didn't know if it was the round or the gun. Probably both. I am a 45 guy myself, so I have been wanting to try the 45 GAP. I was thinking the Tactical 5" would be fun to try out. I have a LBC Stinger I have thought of parting with, if I got the right price, I could buy three XDs. :D

I just got back from the range and I tried a 4" in .40 S&W. Not too shabby, it is a bit jerky, but I haven't shot in at least a year, so it is partially me I am sure. One thing I did note was that the trigger safety was very sharp on the recoil. Probably since it is metal as opposed to the polymer ones on a Glock, but a bit abrasive none the less. I might snag one in 9MM as I have sold off all my 9MM pistols as of late and there is room in the stable for one.
