I had two Flash 1s, a plastic/frn one and an aluminum one the plastic one had a plain edge satin finished blade while the aluminum one had a black coated partially serrated blade. I wanted to swap blades so that's why I took it apart, (and the only thing I lost was one of the little detent balls for the safety)
I believe this is the most complicated AO knife on the market, IIRC there are approximately 19+ separate pieces used in the S.A.T. mechanism and knife.
It really wasn't hard but when you compare it to the simplicity of the torsion bar mechanism in Kershaw's AO system, not including screws I believe there are only 5 parts to the whole knife it's way more complex.
I do love the way the Flash opens though, I'll hafta take it back apart and take some pics like I did with the axis lock, lock back and various autos and post the pics up here.
That little detent ball for the safety drive me crazy, first figuring out where it went than keeping it in the hole while reassembling but after about 20 minutes and 3 tries it works like a charm
