It's an older wildlife hatchet, they have since changed the handle pattern and the palm swell and shape are different but the head is the same I believe. It's a nice light hatchet, I believe the head is at or under a pound compared to the average hatchet with a head weight of about 1.25 lbs and the Small Forest Axe in the middle of the OPs screen grab with a head weight of about 1.5lbs which is another somewhat common hatchet head weight.

The hunters axe is just a Small Forest Axe with a polished and rounded poll and a slightly different handle. The handle is straighter I believe to better leverage the poll for use beating hides off of carcasses.

THX! But this logo on handle looks diffient from Gransfors Bruks.

Could be, here's my own personal Small Forest Axe with the Ray Mears label. I could care less what was on the handle and it was far cheaper to go this route.

The other possibility is a label change. If I recall they changed the stamp at some point or another. They have been making this particular line of American axes since the mid 80s I believe.

Okay so I just went to see if I could make out the stamp on the hatchet in the video. It does appear different, but the quality of the video is pretty much rubbish. The good news is if you look at the description it explicitly states that it is a Gransfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet shown.

Yea the older wildlife hatchets were made just like the small forest axe is now. same profile, its since been changed to what you see sold.
