any one like the new bm 440, with wood

Wait, the backspacers are wood? I love how it looks, but a bit big for gentlemany edc tasks
 
I don't think the inlays on the 440 are wood. If I remember correctly, the 2005 BM catalog says something about "woody" inserts. I bet they're plastic. I doubt the backspacer is anything other than some type of steel. Benchmade site is down at the moment....
 
The scales on the 440 I handled sure felt and looked like wood! I love the knife but I also agree it is a little on the large side for a gentlemen's folder.
 
It is real wood! I emailed Benchmade support to ask what hind of wood was on the 440. They replied that it was stabalized pakawood.
