Any one modded an SAK?

I just got a "golf Utility Knife" from my father. It really sucks (says "Marketed by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc").


Anyway, I was thinking of rescaleing, riping out the tools and working on them, refinish it (maybe "jewel" it). I'm not sure what else I want to do.

I got 3 weeks before going back to school.

So any suggestions on what else I can do, or tips for the stuff I mentioned?

Try and get a copy of "The Complete Book of Pocketknife Repair: A Cutler's Manual" by Ben Kelley; lot of good info in it with regards to what you plan.

There are some folding knives tutorials over at "The Knife Network" that might be helpful to you.
