I thought this knife looked intresting but i don't really like most gerber knives but i heard this one was good but i'm willing to give them another chance if someone can vouch for them.

Most people here don't really like Gerber knives. Even the ones they still make in Oregon aren't very competitive anymore in terms of steel and quality; the Fiskars sellout really destroyed them from a knife collector's perspective.

It's to bad too, because I have a couple a boot knives I scored in the early 80's that are pretty badass!

Fiskars bought them out in '87, moved production to China in early '90. They had a spattering of good knives during that transition but now a diamond in the rough is all you're bound to find.

I would suggest the Gerber EZ out in s30v, there have been a few models with this steel, first was a clip point PE, later changed to a sheepsfoot CE.

Well i don't like gerbers either thats why i bought a busse but i like that knife design.

If you like it, that's all that matters.
The only reason I stopped buying them (other than the obvious quality issues) is the fact that with the 40-50 bucks they're asking for, I can buy a Kershaw, and be proud about it.

I bought the prodigy tanto as a back-up knife to my ka-bar. Working at an outdoor facility I used my prodigy daily with my campers. This included tasks such as whittling, cutting watermelons, and other bushcraft duties. After a full summer of use, I can tell you the blade won't let you down.

It's non-threatening, stout, and overall a great quality knife for batoning to slicing.

That's my experience with it.
