I had no idea these existed but I have been looking at getting a good chef's knife. They look kind of out there but seem to be a good value.

Chris reeve has a long way to go in kitchen cutlery....
Love his pocket knives, but just looking at his kitchen knife makes my hand cramped. Also it's a chisel grind I believe, no bueno!

I had a CRK kitchen knife for a while but that was before I moved into Japanese Gyutos for everyday food prep. Chris's kitchen knives are pretty far off the mark except for maybe using it as a Deba for fish.

I handled them at a cutlery shop. They did not fit my style or technique.

I'm sure there are fans, but my needs and desires sort of mandate a fairly symmetrical and traditionally shaped (boring looking) kitchen knife. (Shrug)

I'm not sure I'd recommend the CRK kitchen knives to many folks (I think they fit a fairly narrow range of users).

I figured there was a reason I hadn't found much about them online from users.
