This knife seems to be quite a handful with it's size. Has anyone carried this model yet. And what do you think of it.

Yes I have one in black with the part serrated edge.

The build quality is great, no blade play and smooth as silk. The handle grips you back and feels very secure. The styling is amazing, I live the sharks fin design of the handle. It is a big knife and it rides quite high on the clip, but you do het a nice pouch for belt cary.

The blade shape is a modified spear point, which I love. The steel is 154CM which by MOD holds a great edge. This is a knife I would trust. Its big but a beauty!

Expensive but worth it IMHO

The Dieter is a big black beast! Quite a handful of knife. Although I like mine a lot, I'm thinking of picking up the 3/4 size version simply for ease of pocket carry. Really like the lock button feature and savage look of these knives. I don't carry this knife very much due to the fact that it rides high enough that it sticks out of my pocket. Carpenter pants solve this problem handily with their deep side pockets.

You have two ways to go with this.

A lot of people do find the Deiter CQD a little too bulky, they think the style is a little too much, etc.

Others think it is great and love the way it looks.

As far as quality goes, I think MOD makes a knife comparable to Microtech knives. The CQD is no different.

You won't get blade play with this knife, the materials are great, it holds an edge, etc. etc. etc.

If you don't like the style of the CQD and it is "too much" for you, Masters of Defense makes a great line of other knives as well. I personally prefer the hornet. Same quality without the styling.
