Any opinions on William Henry Int. Series?

I've set my mind on an 05-model, with cocobolo handles. It's one of the best-looking "dressy" folders I've seen so far, and it can be found for reasonable money. ...At least I think it's reasonable; anyone have first-hand experience...?

I like the 05 over the 07 and 09's because I not only like the overall design better, but am planning to wear it down the left front-pocket; it shouldn't be too big. I've worn out more than one pair of jeans on pocketknives...

I purchased an S07G a while back, great looking knife with great blade steel and sharp as hell.
I also thought & bought since the price was right.
I carried it for about 2 days and had to dump it:
the clip on the case cought up on everything I brushed against and the thumb stud would draw blood.

recoil

My experience has been different than recoil's with my 07. I don't have any problem with the clipcase on these longer knives, on the smaller knives like the Kestral, I've had the knife slip out while sitting. The fit/finish on the Global series is very good IMO. WH changed thumbstuds recently and mine are very nice. I've found WH to have very good customer service as well.

I had the Wharnecliffe with Black Palm scales. Damn, I should have kept it! Very nice for a dress knife. I liked mine for EDC.

They are sharp knives, literally and figuratively (spelling). It is still the sharpest knife I have ever owned.

They are great knives.

I carried one everyday at work. That is, until I was layed off. The clip case is excellent, but I customized mine by moving the clip up. This produced a very low pocket profile, in my shirt and tie work setting.

I have the Cocobolo and spear point model. The VG-10 blade is very nice, as everyone else has testified to. You should definitely get one, they are beautiful.

FWIW...The W.H. Int. series are one of the few production knives I notice. They are an Excellent buy. Great blades.

Thanks for the info! BTW, I believe these knifes are now sold without clip but with a leather sheath instead. So much the better; I think most clips detract from a knife's lines and "feel".

I'll just think what to order with the same shipping; the Knifecenter delivers prompt and trouble-free but overseas shipping is pretty expensive...

Damn. I've just started off collecting and am losing it already... ...Oh well, one of my other wallet-suckers is my watch-hobby.
LOTS more expensive... :)

Yes, the clip is attached to the backside of the leather case -- not to the knife itself. It's a nice system.

I found the W.H's to fine knives. The only thing that I changed was the open back. I had a friend put a backspacer in the knife that matched the scales. I don't like to carry a knife anywhere but in my pocket so the backspacer eliminated the coin catching open back. I pitched the carrying case.
