It's very rare to see Tom Overeynder mentioned here. I know he is probably best known for making amazing art knives, but he also is one of the top makers of slip joints around. His 'serpentine trapper' was the "Best of Show" winner at the 2009 Guild show, so apparently others agree.
If you have ever handled one of Tom's knives, you know the fit and finish is unrivaled! And he's a great guy too!
Enough babbling - bring on the photos!
Here are a couple examples of Tom's work I have. Please post any others here as well!
This is an unusual one - it's a THREE-bladed doctor knife! He adds a third scalpel-like blade to the spear and spatula - very cool! This one is 3 3/4" closed.
Here is an amazing gunstock. It's 3 3/8" closed and has great black lip! And a gold shield that is modeled after a .22 bullet. Also, notice he uses a 'stove pipe' (thanks for that info Kerry!) kick on his slip joints. The only time I've noticed that.
If anyone else is a fan of Tom's work, show it off here!
