thanks a lot do you think its more blacker than that or is the color in the photo off?

It's a fairly flat black, almost dark ash kind of color. A friend of mine owns one, though he doesn't get to use it too often, He EDC's an LM-Surge like me 'cause we need the scissors on the job. And the Surge has one of the biggest on any Multi-Tool.

whats the difference between the charge ti and xti?

to Yapstuz, suggest you go to the Leatherman.com website to see all the differences between all of the LM-Multitools that are for sale. I don't own either one (only an old Wave and my Surge) so I can't say from first hand experience, but from what I've seen, the Ti has the scissors while the Xti does not. I'm sure there are other dis-similarities. Best to check out the site though.
