I would really like to have a good belt sheath for my hawk that has quick one handed access . If you guys have any sheath pics like this or any hawk sheath pics at all I,d like to see them . Even if they are synthetic though I would prefer leather and they would proabably be easier to make anyway .
Thanks

I especially like the leather rig . I have to admit they are all preety nice . I think the question for a lot of people making the transition from axes to hawks is the stereotypicaly ultra functional axe sheath . While all these designs are very functional there is more attention given to the work than just a covering for the blade . It may be the difference between what you can pick up at sears and what a dedicated craftsman can make .

Hi Eddie,

On those kydex sheaths, do those little retaining loops swivel off or are you meant to unbutton them?

A good/great sheath, makes a tool usable, carryable and comfortable. You will be more likely to have the tool when you need it, if you enjoy carrying it.

They are very tight when new, but after a little use they can be swivelled out of the way. I designed them to be unsnapped though. But I do both depending on carry mode and quickness need.

Is that frontier style hawk a Lonnie Hansen? If so, do you own it? Awful purty!
Elkdoc,

Yeah, it is a Hansen. I do not own it. I only lust after it. I will be ordering one like it after the first of the year though. I cannot wait. For those of you who have not seen his work please check out www.lchansen.com you won't be disapointed
