I saw on the Blade Show thread that a drop point Chinook - called the Manix - is coming out this year. Did anyone get any pics of the one at Blade?

Sal & Co. normally don't release photos of new models until they're 'ready to go'- too many changes from the initial proto to the finished product- and it also keeps the Counterfeiters guessing. We all have to wait...

Mmmm...

I'd be good for a normal, drop-point bladed Chinook...

Hopefully it would come out AFTER the YOJIMBO, AHEM, GUYS....

;)

Sorry, no pics on the Manix yet. We're still checking out reactions at shows.

Regarding the Yojimbo, I was playing with a production piece earlier today. They should be shipping in couple of weeks.....finally ;)

Sal,

Thanks for the update on the Manix and the Yojimbo.

I look forward to buying one soon.

:grumpy:

But us shut-ins want to see it, too. ;)

...sigh...

Guess the flip-out-of-the-chair-and-jump-and-yell good news of the Yojimbo will have to do. :D

Does the Yojimbo have a reversible clip to go with that ambidextrously sweet Compression Lock?

The proto that I've seen was drilled for left and right tip-up carry.

Manix: Well, for once I don't need to see it to give you my reaction: Chinook with drop-point? When can I buy it????

Yojimbo: ALRIGHT!!!! Thanks much for the update Mr. Glesser!!!

I was at the blade show and this is the knife I wanted out of all the knives spyderco had. The Manix handle is a little different than the Chinook, but similar size. Very comfortable in the hand. The blade was like a calypso jr. on steroids. We want this knife!!! Please let Sal know.

A huge flat ground Calypso-style blade with dual liners and G-10???!!!

I want one -- will they be ready in time for Christmas? :D

Darned, I was at the Blade Show and missed this! As much time as I spent over at the Spydie booth and I missed it. Too bad for me!
