Any pics of well-used DLC coated Spydies?

I am torn between getting a black blade Military or one with a normal blade. I don't mind a bit of wear but I can't find any photos of how it will look after quite a bit of use.

Also, I read a post where someone was complaining the coating increased the friction and made it harder to slice through certain things. Any thoughts?

Honestly, I think the PM2 looks so much prettier with a satin blade. I was going to get the black too, but I realized that the PM2 is not a tactical knife for concealing and attacking people without them noticing.

The blade is far to pretty too hide it under a black coating and should be kept satin so that you can show it off.

I only own DLC Paras right now, and I find that to be true. However with use the DLC smoothens and almost gets polished. I`ll to to take a pic later.

This increased friction has minimal if there in my use. The DLC might have a tiny bit more friction, but a bare grind can cause friction too, and the DLC covers the grind lines of the blade. It does smooth a bit with use as well. I haven't really noticed a huge difference between the two. I personally like my DLC Para2. Not necessarily that it looks cooler, but the fact that it blends in really well with either my black gym shorts or black slacks which I wear a lot, and isn't as obvious as a satin blade would be.

Hmmm. I think I will pick up a satin finish when I get around to purchasing (my first) one... although I don't mind the wear, it looks cool.

Any of you think Spyderco has any design changes planned for the Military? As with the Paramilitary 2, do you think it's possible they might put in larger screws and a larger lanyard hole?

I don't think they'll stick a compression lock on there, would be neat, too though.

Don't think so.
The lanyard hole on the Para 2's already pretty big IMO.

Well the rumble in the jungle is that it will use a new propietary lock designed by Sal. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name, and my google fu is weak, so if a kind member could point it out, then we`d be a bit farther. But it is (according to sal) years away.

I have found that it wears very well. Contrast that with Cold Steel's teflon, which rubs off the first time you use it. I'm not complaining about the CS, as I like the way a user looks, but Spyderco's flavor is very wear-resistant.
