Well, you could call it your "gentlemen's" knife. Of course you NEED a Mnandi! It is a tough little knife. Sometimes you just need a smaller knife! Am I helping?

I compared my Umfaan & Mnandi. It is a tough call as to which is thinner. And I am not sure. I think the Umfaan might be a hair thinner.

To my eye, the difference is that the inlay on the Mnandi makes the handle wider by the smallest margin. Of course, if you leave the clip on the Mnandi, then that is a difference also.

I carry my Umfaan in the leather sheath so I think there is hardly any difference in total.

Buzz-2. Yeah, that is what I was looking at to, the inlay on the Mnandi. And again, I agree about the pocket clip. I also carry my Umfaan in a leather slip sheath or a WH clip sheath.
