I really like the sheaths that come with the strider knives the SOE type, with the pouch on the front. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get one, I did a search but couldnt come up with anything, I would really appreciate the help, thanks..:)

Have you contacted SOE directly? If that is not an option, you may want to contact Oku on this forum. I hear he has a good tactical nylon connection.:D

do you know the SOE website?, and thanks for OKU I will check with him as well.

Thank you very much, it is nice to have guys like you around, willing to help out:cool:

Jeepin,

Over the years, I have owned stuff by SOE, and I'm telling you that Roger Skic of Custom Tactical Creations does the neatest work, is the most innovative and forward-thinking, and does flawless stitching. If you compare any piece of kit made by SOE with any of Roger's stuff, you will see what I mean. SOE makes many passes over their tape seams with the sewing machine, but their stitching is very sloppy, like someone trying to crank out pieces as fast as he can who has long ago abandoned neatness. Even diehard SOE fans will admit this is a fair statement. Roger's stitching is just as bombproof, it's just much neater, because he's a detail freak and he never rushes himself. He carries more stock colors and patterns than SOE, and he can make a nylon sheath for you with pouch on the front, insert for kydex sleeve...you name it. Or if you want a whole knife/survival rig in a drop leg system, he can build you a subload like this one that he made...

...and add a sleeve behind the pouches for a kydex insert to hold your blade. BTW, the pattern in the pic is CadPat, which he stocks, among others.

Of course, you could just go with a drop leg sheath/PALS panel, so you can swap out pouches as your needs dictate.

Hope this helps.

Good intel X-Head. I didn't know about Custom Tactical. It looks like Roger does nice work.

That drop leg sheath rig is awesome! I might have to have something like that for my new NO when I get one. :D

I might be able to hook you up. Let me know exactly what you're looking for. I do some kydex work, mostly on the knives my dad makes and for my own use, but have done a few for other makers. We also do the nylon webbing covers for Walter Brend, good stuff. Shouldn't be too hard to do a sheath rig for a NO.
