Any plan on lum tanto folder?

I just really want this folder to get a stronger lock considering its strong blade. Is there any plan to put a (integral) compression lock or make the liner lock thicker? Thanks.

Am I missing something? I keep seeing posts about the "weakness" of the Lum tanto folder's liner lock and, frankly, am puzzled.

Mine is a numbered, ti-handled version and I honestly feel that the liner lock is one of the most secure of all the liner locking Spyderco's that I own. The thick liner has a strong spring and engages the tang of the blade securely and with authority. I tend to believe that this is typical Spyderco quality and design.

Am I wrong and is my Lum an exception? Were there numerous factory runs and/or versions made at different factories where some turned out defective?

No, toothed, I also agree that the linear lock on lum tanto folder is well made. I had one for a year and there's not a single failure of the lock. However, I expect a stronger version because of its tanto blade. The thick blade and the "apple seed" grind on the front end of the blade make the blade capable for heavy duty penetrations. I just feel that such blade should have a better lock or at least a thicker linear. The lock seems to be the only reason making it a normal EDC instead of a heavy duty working/defensive knife.
