Any plans for stainless?

I'm just wondering if there are any plans for stainless versions in the RAT lineup? I wouldn't mind having a stainless version of the RC-3/RC-4 for my water adventures....

Anythings possible, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Edit: Of course a RTAK is coming out so if Jeff makes and overpriced machete as he affectionately calls it, then there is hope for stainless steels and who knows maybe even some H1 goodness :D

I had a feeling this post would make some vomit come up in people's mouths:barf:.....still had to ask....:)

For almost all my knife needs, I prefer carbon steel but I do like to have a decent stainless blade around for times when I know I'll be in alot of water be it rain or a canoe or kayak or the ocean.

None of the RAT designs would be exactly what I would want for those situations though.

I've been looking at some of the fixed Spydercos in H1.

Exactly. The only time I could see stainless being used would be if it was in a piece intended for marine use.

Well... you could always get a Blackjack Grunt. Solid working knife, stainless, and around $25 bucks. Or a Mora if you prefer something lighter duty.

No stainless in our forecast at this time. Period. (Unless we decide to use it on the folder when we get around to it.) Mike

Coated 1095 should be ok on a folder, of course earlier today when I gave an izula a good look down I saw some brown fuzz starting to form on the laser engravings.
