Are there any plans from Buck to make some new 124's with a different color handle than was on the 2012 LE? I would love to have some in burgandy or white micarta, but green, red or brown micarta would be cool too!

Don't know but it would be a good idea I think. It appears to me, from seeing all the new ones for sale here and online for less than they sold for when first introduced, that interest in the current model has faded some. Different handle options might just respark the interest.

The 124 has become my favourite fixed blade, the new ones however dont appeal to me.

White corian is my favourite

Here's an interesting modified 124 (not mine).

I like the looks of the blade of the Bucklite Max and Vanguard. I think it's safe to say I'm not alone in liking drop point blades more than clip points.

I would love it if Buck would produce drop point fixed blades with their classic phenolic handles.

At the least a few web specials with different slab colors would be good, if Buck would do it.

Pinnah,

That 124 mod is a real chop job....uuuggghhhh.
However, it is high time that Buck offers an all new phenolic 100 series knife.
A 4" drop point blade. It'll sell.

As to the 124, put it in the custom shop and offer smooth buff, all the lam woods, several G10/micarta options, and a Custom shop stamp. I think Buck would have huge demand for this type of offering.

I agree with the Custom Shop idea. They could replace the Alpha Hunter if they need to trim down the number of models they offer.

Heh. Well, that's because *I* didn't do it! ;)

But, I think it does show the lengths people will go to get....

Would be cool to see these slammed together

Actually, I think the 103 has DIY possibilities. Take it down to a drop point. Maybe thin out the blade a bit.

Yes I agree with the custom shop idea, and I think I have said that in the past. I think Buck would make a killing.
