Any production sheaths for BOSS Jack?

Do any of you know some who make production sheaths?

I'm looking for a sheath for my incoming Combat Grade BOSS Jack. I checked out the ones featured on bussecombat.com and bussecompanystore.com but none of them quite fit what I'm looking for or the turnaround time is too long (I'd like to bring out my knife as soon as I get it really, which might be less than a month). I really like the ESEE sheaths because of the MOLLE backing and pouch. I'd like something that has a pouch like that or is compatible with those ESEE accessories. The production part is really just to avoid such long turnaround times.

Thanks!

Did you check out the combat master sheath by spec ops? Ive seen people using them for their BJs and it looks like a good setup.

What are you planning on doing with the knife? Are you looking for leather or Kydex and why?

Going to take it out to the woods camping, so probably processing some wood... that's it for now, really. To be honest, I don't get to use the knife as much as I want to when I bring it out, but I suppose I should be glad I don't get into those TV life-or-death survival situations ;)

I will probably go with Kydex because it's thinner than leather. Since I want the pouch and need to attach something to the back--some loop or a backing with a loop--it's gonna build up thickness pretty quickly.

For the BOSS Jack I would 100% go with a Spec Ops Combat Master (short, not long) - its fantastic and the accessory pouch is VERY useful - perfect for a leatherman or a small survival kit or light. Its only a few bucks more than a high-quality kyde sheath and you'll get much much more use since it can be used for different knives of the same size.

You can mold the plastic insert if you want a perfect fit, but it is not necessary. The good thing is you can remold the insert a million times so its good for any future knives you may need a sheath for.

So that's two votes for the Spec Ops Combat Master. I'm sold. Thanks!

I have basically the same set-up with a Boss Jack LE and a Spec-ops sheath. I wasn't satisfied with the plastic insert or my ability to modify it. Al, one of the resident kydex benders here on BF made me a kydex sheath "insert" for the spec-ops that also uses the stock chicago screw to retain the sheath. It could also be used as a standalone sheath. This set-up gives me a a little better fit with absolutely no rattle and is perfect for me!!!

Bravo

Interesting. Some pics perhaps?

Another BOSS Jack and Spec-Ops Combat Master (short) here. I haven't had the opportunity to try molding the sheath yet. I'm still really digging it.

Better late then never!!! Sorry for the delay

A riveted hold retains the kydex with the original chicago screw location.

Aside from making your own, the spec ops line is one of the few generic sheaths out there. This is the 8" simple modular sheath from them:

It fits both the thicker .220" convex Proto

as well as the notably thinner .125" (1/8" thick) custom BOSS jack I have. In this image you can see how much slack there is in the retention strap. The thinner BOSS jack feels floppier when it's pulled out slightly, but feels fairly snug when it's sunk in all the way.

Thats because of a simple symettrical flair at the top of the sheath that grips the scales of both knives equally, even if the stock thickness of the blade itself is notably

It's a nice system for what I paid for it (30$ after shipping) and is modular on any pals webbing, but I don't wear it on my hip for a two main reasons. It's retention isn't crisp, and I don't want to custom form the kydex to make it so, and It's longer than it needs to be for the BOSS jack by an inch and a half, making it hang a lot lower than your average mid to high ride kydex.
