When I built the forge on the left, I mounted it as shown near the Atlas Mini. The larger forge works well, gets hot quick, uses very little propane, but I never use it. I am considering removing the self-built model and placing my knife kiln where the forge currently sits. The kiln is the same width as the peen hammer shown (including the handle). That would leave me almost a foot between the Atlas and the kiln (after I move the Atlas to the right as far as I can). Would the Atlas be too close to the kiln and possibly have some kind of negative effect on the kiln's controls and such? Would fire bricks between the two alleviate any concerns, or am I overthinking this?
Thanks,

It should be fine, but you might want to position the kiln so the control box is not facing the Atlas. Just switch the placement so the kiln is on the right and the forge is on the left.
Mount the old forge on a rolling welder cart from HF and set in a corner when not in use for a larger project.
You can store extra tongs and stuff on the lower shelves of the cart, too.
