I am looking for a small folder around 3" to 3.8" inches closed. I prefer them to be heavy and built Stout! doesn't matter about the lock as long as it's not a liner lock, even slip-joints are welcome. please send me your thoughts.

Here are some I'm considering

Fallkniven U1
Boker Haddock
Fallkniven P-1
Benchmade Waddell's Bone Collector (Small)
Boker Titan II
Buck Paradigm (its over the closed length, but i like the design)
Kershaw Black Colt II (its over the closed length, but i like the design also)
SOG Stingray

Personally, I EDC a slip-joint, along with a reg. folder. However, for a small folder, I'd also consider a Fallkniven U2 or one of the Spyderco Urban folders (Drop-point or Wharncliffe).

I like the Haddock but it's not available yet.:grumpy:
I had one on order but it took a little to long so i canceled the order.

They were available in Europe but at a higher price.

Maybe a zt 350 (maybe even the bigger 300) or the new benchmade Silbert would also be to your likes.
Don't know there sizes but they are stout.;)

How small you willing to go and what do you want to do with the knife?

I EDC a Case Peanut. Short of batonning logs, it does anything I could ask of it.

Its not so much as to what I'm going to do with it as the fact a like the weight in my hand when using the knife. I will probably only use it for office task, but may find other uses for it to.

A SAK can have pretty good heft....and they rarely scare Debi from Accounts Payable if you pull one out in the coffee room at work!

Just picked up a Strider PT.....and I really like it.

For smaller folders some of my favorites have been Spydercos Delica, Urban and UKPK. Even the Sage 2 is a good EDC size.

I also carry a GEC Jack a few times a week.
