I am planning to add a new sebenza CF into my collection. I have experienced with a titanium verison but want to know more about CF version.
I would really appreciate if you guys and gals who recently purchase feed back on CF version.

Thanks so much.

Have #18! Love it! CR does the CF so it is flawless as usual! Beautiful knife! Cant wait to get the small version! Hopefully I can get matching numbers!! Get one while theyre still there! Dont think they made a whole lot!!

While I don't have one of the new CRK made carbonfiber Sebenzas I have had customised CF Sebenzas for a while. It really makes little to no difference other than saving about an ounce in weight on the large knives and about half an ounce on the small knives, it also perhaps looks better. I personally go through stages of prefering Ti over CF and I'm afforded the option of swaping them as I see fit. That is something one will not have with the CRK made knives.

he just posted this video yesterday.

Thanks for the video Socom. I was really hoping someone would post a video showing off one of these beautiful knife in action. I myself ordered 14-50 and its currently being held in customs. As knifeart doesn't shift to Canada I had to use a freight forwarding company and ended up paying outrageous shipping fees. Sometimes it's really hard being a knife knut, purchasing American knives, living in Canada. I can only imagine how difficult it would be living over seas, Anyways, I know it'll be worth the wait though when it arrives. It's my first large sebenza!

I would have prefered them using a rough CF rather than the polished. The polished I am sure makes it better looking, but a bit slick. It is about 1 oz lighter than the ti as Haze said. Other than that fit and finish are at the CRK level.

The one in SocomElite is much shinier than mine. The video mentions that it is the smoothest operating sebenza he has owned. I do not find that to be the case with mine. It operates beautifully, but I notice that the bronze washer/bushing on the CF side rotates along with the blade and rubs against the the cf. I don't know if this is good or bad, but it is an observation. I have since swapped out my blade with a Ladder Damascus blade - results are the same, but it sure looks sweet :)

This thread is a reminder that I hope to get mine back from CRK soon. I sent it in for double silver thumb lugs, and matching silver spacer and lanyard pin. Maybe it'll get back to me this week. Need to cross my fingers.

When you do, please post some tasty pix cause those fixes sound real sweet.

I have one on the way and was thinking of doing the same, if you don't mind me asking, what did it set you back and what did they say the turnaround time would be?

Changing the thumb lug from single to a double, and changing its color and that of the spacer and lanyard pin, set me back $49 ($35 plus $14 return shipping), and the turn-around time was estimated at 2 to 3 weeks. I may get mine back this Friday.

Glad you guys enjoyed my vid. Sorry it wasn't more thorough. My bud and I probably made 10 different vids over 4 days. I'm still carrying the CF Seb everyday. I'm really liking the S35vn steel. Holds a fantastic edge! Some of the talk here about silver lugs and the whatnot sounds cool. Can't wait to see pix. Love the Damascus version!
