I tried the search but got nothing. I've been looking at the Benchmade 151, fixed blade Griptilian and was wondering if anyone has been using it. I'd sure like to hear some feedback.

I've been using this knife for about a month as an EDC fixed blade. I've opened boxes, cut fiberglass reinforced tape & sliced tomato with it. So nothing too dramatic. It's a great little knife though - least IMO

The what? Oh man where the hell have I been. Got to go find this one. Thanks for the inadvertant heads up!!!!

I have not held this knife yet but I have two Griptilian's. One has the Doug Ritter blade (usually my EDC). With the addition of Satoprene handle inserts, 154CM blade, and almost 3/4" longer than the large Griptilian blade, I just don't see how you could go wrong. For $70, I'd just buy the thing. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

I'd then get a custom Kydex sheath made that will accept a TekLok for various carrying positions. Hey, I think I just talked myself into something..lol.

Regards

I bought one as soon as they came out. I must say you can not find a better knife with these materials for $165. The steel and weight are excellent! The blade shape is od however. I would have preferred a style closer to the Fallkniven F1 but..... The sheath is little more than crap.

Over the summer I was carrying this knife a bunch & just kept it on me when I did my swim each day. This turned up what I consider to be a flaw in the design of the handle - the scales are basically hollow with an innerstructure. Unfortunately this resulted in water staying trapped under the scales & created a corrosion issue.

So I took off the slabs after trying unsuccessfully to modify the slabs. It was a little challenging (due to the shape) but I managed to do a pretty decent cord wrap on the handle using two nylon boot laces

So I still really like the knife. I would recomend doing something with the handle though if you are going to use it as a boat knife or if there is a chance it might get submerged.
