Well, there isnt much user info on Zombietools.net blades. And i see theyve been around almost a couple years.

I was curious if anyone here has/used/held/seen one? How do they perform? any general Opinions please?

Imo They look pretty cool and I like that theyre made in Montana, but i would appreciate a few thoughts before putting down the money on one of these....

Thanks!

Great schtick. If you are in to the genre why not? Will undoubtedly come in very handy if faced with hordes of the living dead coming to eat your brains. Other than that, they might make some handy brush cutters, but there are cheaper alternatives.

The reaper looks really sexy. I don't know how spring steel fares against bone and flesh though.

Very well, actually. My concern is more with the aluminum handle scales--it seems like that would add an awful lot of extra and unneeded weight.

5160 which is what they say they are using is just fine for sword blades if heat treated properly.

Who comes up with this stuff...
I'm not big on all the guards that have breaks / points on them, though the Para Bellum looked straight forward enough.

Edited to add: I'm not crazy about the little thin pieces of handle scales that protrude up the spine of the blade - they look fragile.

The bits of aluminum that extend up the spine are not only unnecessary, but will impede penetration during deep cuts. :thumbdn:

I suspect that as with most fantasy type pieces performance isn't exactly the main concern. Or maybe projecting pointy pieces have particular efficacy against zombies I couldn't say. Fighting the living dead is a bit outside my realm of experience. If I were to fight the undead though, I'm pretty sure I would want to use a smatchet.

Indeed, i agree. I am wondering if there are any reviews similar to the SR Waki where it seems to take down trees if need be and hold a decent fighting edge...At a similar price point at least for the Harvester, is there a comparison? Or to a scrapizashi?

Or are the Zombietools pretty much for aesthetics first and foremost?
