I just got this version of the Devastator, and I cant put it down.

It's pretty impressive, even next to some famous proven 90's custom tactical designs.
I prefer the older stuff usually, but ever since I saw this style/maker, I felt the need to bring my custom collection up to date.
It's the most I ever spent on ANY knife, or any collectibles I've ever been into for that matter.
Worth every damn penny!

Where do I go from here? More RJs?:D

love his work!
That is a killer piece you got yerself.

Yeah, I got RJ love. :D Just no RJ knives. :( Have been looking for an affordable deal on an Overkill in S110V for a couple of years with no luck.

Stand-up guy. Good businessman. Knows steel, heat treat, design and geometry better than most, IMO. And his screaming sharp edges are as good as edges get. What more could you want from a knife maker--other than a whole lot more production to stabilize demand and prices? ;)

I would love to own any style of his jpz style fixed blades.
Missed two last year, saw them on a site came back later same day and they were long gone.

RJ makes great knives!

he is also a great guy - last year around the holidays, a woman was looking for a knife for her returning Ranger Husband. I had an original Q36 that I've used for probably 10 years, and RJ re-did the whole knife back to basically brand new, and we sent it to her. Needless to say, her husband LOVED the knife, and I was happy it moved on to a new owner who appreciated it.

Doug, I have a Kozuka/neck knife from RJ - M2 steel, wooden neck sheath with magnets. If you are interested, just let me know

Ahem* That is The JerzeDevil Forums DEVILSTATOR.

Lots of RJ love for me!

I like RJ's work.

Does anyone know if he's still actively making knives?

Of course he is. That Devilstator is from this year and the pivotless pivot won awards at Blade this year for most innovative design.

He'll be at NYCKS in two weeks.

Thanks for the responses guys. Especially that nice story Bill. Mr. Martin truly is a class act.

Yeah, I've heard that RJ still MAKING knives and people actually being able to get their hands on one, are two different things.:p

Mr. LaBella, I know that you know that I know what it is . . . I just wasn't sure of the cross forum advertising policy here. ;) THANKS AGAIN RON!!!

Here is a matching set that RJ made for for me in 2013 and I displayed in my last book,
"The World of Art Knives" Vol. II (2014)...

All the best,
