I have an aluminum Lake with micarta inlays in the large 7 3/4" size with the 5 pin inlays (the 4 pins plus the back lock pivot). I've seen them EXACTLY the same in a no pin version except for the lock pivot. Also, this is a "real" Lake, not one of the CAS production Lakes (not that there is anything wrong with those but big difference).
So my questions are...
1. Which came first or where they produced concurrently?
2. They were all numbered so any idea when a 5 pin numbered in the 80s would have been made?
None of this is more than curiosity as I enjoy knowing as much about my collection as possible.
