Any sites dealing with guides on antique knives?

Well. I'm only just getting into the hobby of collecting knives, and this weekend will be going with my father to a fairly decent sized car boot sale (early in the morning so as to not miss any bargains ).

I've seen a few nice antique/old penknives, and noticed that many have silver/metal symbols on the sides, after a little research i found that these are from different manufacturers, but as I'm only just getting into it, I haven't found out which are the ones to look out for, or what to look for in an old knife.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good resources/sites which detail guides for collecting old knives. part of me wishes to collect old knives with genuine pearl/ivory decorations etc, but I also want to make sure they are decent and valuable, and not made in the 1980s from plastic...
