Ive got a civilian and out of all my spydercos it feels the "nicest". the handle shape and size is great but mostly it feels more substantial I guess. The action is butter smooth and the lockup is ultra solid. it feels like a much more expensive knife in your hand. Its tough to describe with word I suppose. So Im asking if there are any others with similar feel/constriction to them.

For length, the Police 3 G10 would be comparable. For handle ergos, the Civilian looks kind of like a lockback PM2. Both have smooth action and solid lockup.

I think mostly the handle design is what I like. something about it I really dig. its flat but feels super strong. stronger than the FRN stuff I have. and the lock and the pivot is so smooth. Its a beautiful knife!

Military has a similar handle shape.

I have a Civilian and love it, especially with the dericdesmond sheath. Makes for a very cool pairing, like a piece of equipment and not just a knife. Like the Civilian was just a knife to begin with!

Check out the Ulize, too; it is on par with the Civilian, absolutely. Beautiful in hand, and MAN is it sharp! It's like the blade profile is deeper, not sure.

I carry the Ulize in my left pocket and the Civilian on the right, or in the sheath, and feel like I'm ready for anything. And they are just cool to behold.

Kind of out of left field, but you might also like the full-sized Goddard. They just released a sprint version which is still available for relatively inexpensive prices. It is a linerless FRN and is very light weight. Great knife for outdoors. Lots of steel for the weight you carry.

The full-sized Caly sprint might also be interesting. Another long-bladed knife. Very thin and easy to pocket.
