Just saw that the Boker Squail became available at a couple stores and was wondering if anyone had any input or reviews on them yet. I really like the design and was wondering if you guys had any input as I am looking for a new knife.

Thanks in advance for any info.

click the pic to see a bazillion pics it looks sweet ... but ugh, recurve rats

I really like the looks of this one.

I plan on getting one, even though I can't stand tip-down pocket clip carry.

Such an elegant-looking knife.

Yes....just received mine. A quick over view.

Very beautiful overall. I love large blades and this one fits the bill. Liners are solid which adds some weight but anything under 7oz is what I prefer, weight is not an issuse with me.

The micarta is beautifully done. Smooth, attractive, yet quite grippy. It looks to be linen givin the few shaggy edges.

Dovetails bind nicely to the titanium bolsters which are finished with a very fine beadblast. Scales and handles line up great..no gaps or flaws.

The 440c blade is stonewashed with fine grit. I love 440c (I'm old school., lol). Also the light recurve is perfect. Grinds are spot on. Agressive spine jimping works with comfort. The tip is ground thin for delicate use.

Closed it is 47/53 centered...no worries from me. Closed retension is great. Just the right amount. With the oval hole, you can reverse spydie flick it open. Normal thumb hole opening is very easy aswell. What surprized me was the smoothness.

Lock up is an early 45%. Solid with no play via gorilla grip in either direction. Easy to disengage also.

I wish the clip was optioned for tip up also. This is my only complaint.

All in all....homerun boker for a well executed collaboration.

All in all...a great knife!

Was just eyeing the Squail this evening on one of my favorite dealers websites and thought it looked like my cup of tea. Anyone else got one and serratededge how is yours holding up?

I saw on another forum where someone took one and moved the pocket clip for tip-up carry.

I am considering getting one and doing just that.
