check out http://skymaps.com

They'll send you (FREE) a printable map of the sky each month so you can identify/locate the stars and constellations.

Pretty neat I think...

You know, I've been wanted to get out and look at jupiter the last few nights, But I dont know if you can see it anymore. :o

You have to get up very early, if you can see it at all at your latitude.

Look above the moon, shortly before dawn.

There are also dozens of freeware astronomy programs, perhaps a better choice than trying to read a paper printout in the dark. Some programs have a "night" mode so you can use on a laptop outdoors without losing your night vision. Some freeware programs even interact directly with certain telescopes so you can coordinate the telescope with what's on the computer screen.

This guy maintains a decent listing:

The only time I can see more than a dozen stars from my yard is when the power is out. ( ie: Katrina )

Thats what red lights are for. Some of us, even though very high tech, prefer low tech. I work I.T., but I prefer to do things the old fashioned way when it comes to astronomy. My dob is Human controlled. ;)
